Tottenham injury news as Ange Postecoglou provides an update on an number of his players ahead of Monday’s London derby with Fulham

Tottenham Hotspur could welcome back a number of key players for Monday night’s Premier League clash against Fulham. Spurs will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the table with victory against their London rivals

The Lilywhites are currently joint-top of the table with Arsenal following an electric start to the 2023/24 season. With the second international break over, Postecoglou’s men will have to play catch-up come Monday as their rivals all play before them.

A number of injury concerns presented themselves over the international break, including worries over Cristian Romero and Son Heung-min. Romero was forced off halfway through Argentina’s victory over Peru before it was confirmed that he had been playing through a swollen right ankle.

In Son’s case, the forward was seen limping in South Korea’s 6-0 win over Vietnam. Fortunately for Spurs, both problems don’t appear to be a problem for Fulham. “It’s been a pretty positive international break for us,” Postecoglou said.

“Everyone is kind of back and medical reports seem to be good so no real issues around the guys from a fitness perspective. Also, we got a couple of senior debuts with Destiny and Micky getting some runs in there in terms of playing for their national team. It was a good break.”
In more good news, Brennan Johnson, Rodrigo Bentancur and Bryan Gil all appear to be edging closer to a return. Giovanni Lo Celso could also return having featured for Argentina’s World Cup qualifying wins over Paraguay and Peru.
