Ex-Patriot Scott Zolak claims the Vikings ‘reached out’ to Tom Brady to gauge the possibility of the seven-time Super Bowl winner coming out of retirement after quarterback Kirk Cousins’ season-ending injury

Former New England Patriot Scott Zolak said on his radio show Wednesday that the Minnesota Vikings ‘reached out’ to Tom Brady about the possibility of him returning to the gridiron to be the team’s quarterback.

However, Zolak suggested that Brady turned the Vikings down about a second comeback to the NFL.

It’s unclear when the alleged denial occurred, but it makes the most sense it happened after Minnesota’s starter to begin the season, Kirk Cousins, suffered a season-ending Achilles injury on October 29.

Instead, the Vikings acquired Joshua Dobbs from the Arizona Cardinals to try to make a playoff push in Cousins’ absence.

The show was discussing the possibility of the seven-time Super Bowl winner coming to the Bengals’ rescue after Joe Burrow was ruled out for the rest of the season through injury but Zolak also shut down that possibility, insisting that Brady ‘is done.’
