Tennessee wide receiver target and current wideout at Knoxville Catholic High School, Braylon Harmon, has officially de-committed from Wofford after receiving an offer less than a month ago. Harmon is a 5-9, 180-pound wideout from Knoxville Catholic High School in Knoxville, Tennessee.

He is a 2024 prospect and had an impressive season. The senior had 1,071 yards and nine touchdowns in the receiving category but was also extremely dangerous on punt returns and kick returns, having two punt return touchdowns and 364 yards returning, averaging out to 20.2 yards per return. On kick returns, he had 719 yards, four touchdowns, and an average of 31.3 yards per return. Harmon spoke with Volunteer Country earlier in November while still committed to Wofford. He stated, “It means a lot to me to be able to get the offer, especially being born and raised here; getting a chance to play for them has always been a dream!” At the time, he also said, “A program like Tennessee is definitely a factor.

The staff and atmosphere are top-notch. Anytime you have the chance to play in your hometown area and also in Neyland, it’s special.” His message to the public states, “I have always dreamed and worked to play football at the highest level. I want to thank God for giving me the ability and talent he has blessed me with. The division I was blessed to play in has built me to be prepared to play at a high level. I want to thank my family, coaches, teachers, and trainers for getting me to where I am now. I would like to thank the coaches and staff at Wofford College for believing in me and offering me a chance to play D1 football.

With lots of prayer and speaking with my family, I have decided to De-commit from Wofford. Thank you for respecting my decision, and I look forward to where God takes me from here. My recruitment is 100% open!!” A key part of the message was the opening statement when he said, “I have always dreamed and worked to play football at the highest level.” That could be a good sign for the Volunteers.

Tennessee is definitely a team to consider in this recruitment, specifically due to the timeline and location as well. A few other teams to consider would be East Tennessee State, Eastern Kentucky, Army, East Carolina, Navy, and many more. Time is ticking for the 2024 class, and the Vols still have some guys on the board. Harmon is now officially an option for this already impressive 2024 class.
