Early team news has emerged ahead of West Ham versus Aston Villa in the Premier League, with Aaron Cresswell and Ben Johnson still ruled out, while Lukasz Fabianski is at 25%, according to Ben Dinnery.

The injury expert shared via his Premier Injuries website on 20 October that Fabianski is being assessed ahead of the game, having picked up a knock recently, and no return date is listed.

Cresswell, meanwhile, is ruled out of the game against Villa but has a possible return date of 22 October which suggests he may be back for the Olympiacos game, while Johnson is in the same boat.

Essentially a full squad

The Hammers have been relatively lucky when it comes to injuries this season. Looking across the Premier Injuries list, the likes of Sheffield United (9), Crystal Palace (11) and Chelsea (13) are all struggling with major injury issues, so West Ham can feel luck is on their side.

With the injuries to Johnson, Cresswell and Fabianski, David Moyes’ first team has been untouched, with each of these players providing backup options to the main starting players at the London Stadium.

All three also have short-term return dates and are not expected to miss too much more football before being available to return to the side, possibly in the Europa League clash against Olympiacos.

West Ham

While any injury is never ideal, the Hammers are certainly on the right side of things as it stands, and the status of their injured players will provide an added boost to Moyes and the fans as they can look forward to having a fully fit and available team.
