Nottingham Forest have announced the signing of Andrey Santos from Chelsea on a season-long loan.
The Brazil Under-20 captain joins Steve Cooper’s side after spending pre-season at Cobham under new Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The central midfielder, who scored eight goals in Vasco da Gama’s promotion campaign, became Forest’s fifth signing of the summer.
Santos said on the club’s website Forest:
“I am very happy and excited to be here. I know Forest are a great club, they play beautiful football and have good players, which is very important to me. “I’ve always dreamed of playing in the Premier League and I can’t wait to play.”
Director of football Ross Wilson added:
“Everyone knows how talented Andrey is, so of course we are delighted that he and Chelsea are receiving great interest, having chosen Nottingham Forest. We are all delighted to have him. “
