After an abysmal 1-5 start to the 2023 season, the Denver Broncos have put together a five-game winning streak, and they now find themselves right in the thick of the AFC playoff picture with a 6-5 record.

On Sunday, the Broncos were able to hold off a talented Cleveland Browns team and leave the field with a 29-12 win.

On Monday, Denver head coach Sean Payton shared how the win over the Browns was different for his team compared to their victory over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 11.

Payton believes the Broncos winning the turnover battle was the biggest reason they were able to defeat the Vikings, while the Denver head coach thinks that his team had a much better performance in their win over Cleveland on Sunday (via Zac Stevens on Twitter).

The Broncos’ current winning streak has been an impressive one, as four of their five victories came over teams that had a winning record heading into the matchup.

During their win streak, Denver has found a way to defeat the Vikings, Browns, Buffalo Bills, and Kansas City Chiefs.

Even the Broncos’ win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 7 should be viewed as a somewhat impressive accomplishment since the Packers are now 5-6 after getting victories in three of their last four games.

Currently, Denver is the No. 9 seed in the AFC, and they’re a half-game behind the Indianapolis Colts for the final spot in the AFC playoff bracket.

The Broncos have some tough matchups remaining on their schedule, but if they continue to play like they did on Sunday, then they should be able to compete with just about any other team in the NFL
