Jamie Carragher hit out at PGMOL after Luis Diaz’s Liverpool goal against Tottenham was wrongly ruled out.

The Anfield legend and Sky Sports pundit took to Twitter to take aim at the referee after a statement last night confirmed that Liverpool had mistakenly disallowed the goal.

Diaz scored a goal in the first half that was disallowed by VAR for marginal offside, although according to Sky Sports News PGMOL have not confirmed that the decision to rule out the Colombian’s strike was wrong.

With the goal tied at 0-0 and Liverpool losing the match 2-1, the incompetence of VAR officials once again cost Jurgen Klopp’s side crucial points.

And Carragher’s reaction on social media is probably too tame for what happened as Liverpool were robbed of points in a crucial Premier League game. PGMOL’s statement about Luis Diaz’s foul must anger Liverpool

There’s really no way to overshadow the PGMOL’s decision on Diaz’s red card, as the incident cost Liverpool important points at the start of the season.
This is not the first time PGMOL has had to apologize for a completely wrong VAR decision, and this time the consequences could be dire.

For Liverpool, losing by three or even one point could be the difference between the Premier League title or the end of the season, and the Reds should be furious with last night’s revelation.
