Tony Bellew says Goodison has become a playground

Speaking to talkSPORT, Tony Bellew, an Everton supporter, stated that the team’s home form needs to improve and that Goodison Park has turned into a playground.

“Let me tell you, something is going on at Goodison Park, and it ain’t the fans,” Bellew said at the outset. He feels that when the players play at Goodison Park, it’s not the same since they are playing with more freedom away from home.

Everton has played five games at Goodison Park since the 2023–24 Premier League season began. They have won one (their most recent matchup versus Bournemouth) and lost four. This includes their first victory of the season, a 2-1 loss against Luton.

On the other hand, Everton has triumphed over Doncaster and Aston Villa in the Cup, drew with Sheffield United, and defeated Brentford in the league when playing away from home. They are now 16th in the Premier League, and at the conclusion of the season, their home performance may prove to be crucial.
