CeeDee Lamb and the Dallas Cowboys have a 7-3 record and have won four of their last five games ever since they were humbled 42-10 by the San Francisco 49ers in Week 5. Still, some do not believe they are true Super Bowl contenders at this point.

They will have some statement games coming up during the home stretch of their schedule, as they will face the Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins and Detroit Lions in December. But first comes their annual Thanksgiving game, which will be played this year against the Washington Commanders, one of their historic NFC East rivals.Star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has been dealing with an ankle ailment. He has said he will play on Thursday, and on Tuesday, he was a full participant in practice, which is certainly a good sign as far as his availability on Thursday.

In just 10 games this season, Lamb has already gone over the 1,000-yard mark, and he is tied with the Philadelphia Eagles’ A.J. Brown for the second-most receiving yards in the NFL right now. He is by far Dallas’ top offensive threat, especially since it doesn’t have a reliable or legitimate WR2.

The 4-7 Commanders would seem to be a relatively easy opponent for Dallas before it gears up for its December gauntlet. While quarterback Sam Howell, who is essentially a rookie after playing just one game in 2022 during his official rookie campaign, is leading everyone in passing yards and is tied for the seventh-most passing touchdowns, Washington’s offense as a whole is nothing to write home about.

In addition, the team’s defense is 30th in passing yards allowed and last in points and passing touchdowns given up. It is something Lamb should be able to expose, assuming, of course, he is able to play on Turkey Day.
