Fichajes.net have claimed that Barcelona are set to reignite their interest in Giovani Lo Celso in the January transfer window.
In recent days, a number of Spanish media agencies have confirmed that Real Betis is closely monitoring the midfielder’s situation before the January transfer window (AS via Sport Witness).
A few days ago, Football Insider even suggested that Spurs were ready to buy the Argentine in January as he had just over 18 months left on his contract.

If Fichajes’ latest update is to be believed, Barca is also considering recruiting Tottenham players when the transfer market opens.
The report states that Lo Celso is admired by Xavi Hernandez and that his name ‘appears strongly’ in the Catalan club’s wishlist as they aim to bolster their midfield department.
It is alleged that Xavi believes that the 27-year-old would fit well into his system and Barca are expected to launch an offer of €15m (£13m) for the player.

Tottenham will likely want to start a bidding war between Betis and Barca, although the Catalan club are said to be unable to pay more than £10-15 million for Lo Celso due to their current financial situation.
