Juventus will consider signing a Tottenham midfielder in the January transfer window following the news of Paul Pogba’s positive drug test, according to reports.

Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is reportedly the player Juventus are targeting on a short-term deal following the news that Paul Pogba has tested positive for his ‘B sample’. The Dane is out of favor at Spurs and could move to Turin in January. Pogba was suspended in September after testing positive for drugs. The former Manchester United star has been threatened with a ban of up to four years.
He agreed to clear his name and asked for cross-examination to prove his innocence. But it also tested positive for a banned substance. Pogba now faces great uncertainty over his future. Due to injuries, he has made just 12 appearances for Juventus since returning to the Serie A club on a free transfer last summer. It is now possible that he has already played his last match at the Old Lady. According to Italy’s TuttoMercatoWeb, it is “very likely” that Juventus will terminate the remainder of Pogba’s contract, which still has more than two and a half years left.
