‏During the summer transfer window, the 24-year-old was extensively linked with a move to Spurs, but the transaction fell through. He paid about £25 million to join the Saudi club Al Itihad back in July.

Unexpectedly, the club has locked him out and has not registered him for the forthcoming season. According to 90min, Jota is now attempting to reach an agreement with the Saudi club. He wants the club to let him go so he may return to Europe right now.

In the event that he is permitted to depart for free, Ange Postecouglou will be eager to sign him. Al Ittihad might not be eager to part with him right now; instead, they might release him during the winter transfer window.

Spurs will have competition, though, as 90min notes that a number of Premier League clubs, including Brentford, Crystal Palace, Everton, Fulham, and West Ham, are fighting for his services. Celtic are also considering bringing him back to Parkhead.

Spurs must acquire him.
Jota is a terrific winger who developed under Postecoglou while playing for Celtic. He scored 28 goals and had 26 assists in 83 games for the Bhoys over the course of two seasons, and he would be eager to work with his former manager at Spurs again.

He enjoys hugging the touchline and has won matches in the past, just like Brennan Johnson. Should he transfer to the north London club, he won’t likely need much time to adjust because he thrived under Postecoglou at Celtic. Theoretically, Jota should be a better match for Postecoglou’s favored system than some of the club’s current wingers.

He possesses the skills necessary to succeed in the Premier League, so if he becomes available for free or at a reduced price, the North London team should make a bid to sign him.
