Prior to their game against Arsenal, Chelsea has a few injury concerns, but Mauricio Pochettino has received a major boost this week.

Mauricio Pochettino has welcomed back a number of Chelsea stars from international duty this week. The Blues boss has been handed a huge injury boost after club captain Reece James was pictured taking part in training.

The England international has been sidelined with a hamstring problem for the past two months but is now closing in on a return to action. Elsewhere, Mykhailo Mudryk, Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile were also spotted in training this week after recovering from injury problems.

Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez are set to be involved in training later this week after returning from South America this week. With that said, here’s a look at the latest injury news surrounding Chelsea as well as their return dates before the big London derby with the Gunners.

Just a few days before the match against Arsenal, Reece James made his way back to first team practice this week. The hamstring injury that the captain of Chelsea sustained during the 2-2 draw with Liverpool has kept him out of action.

Football.london is aware that it’s ‘too early’ to say for sure if he’ll be ready to play against Arsenal on Saturday afternoon. Despite not being well enough to play, the England international served his one-match suspension against Burnley last time around.

James’ rehabilitation program is going well, but the Blues haven’t made a decision yet, as football.london reported last week.
