The coaching staff has also gone through several changes since the end of the season, beginning with former tight ends coach Tim Brewster, who has joined the staff at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte as an assistant head coach. Former offensive coordinator Sean Lewis has become the new head coach at San Diego State University, and going with him is former Colorado offensive line coach Bill O’Boyle. Head coach Deion “Coach Prime” announced Tuesday, that defensive analyst Vincent Darcy received a promotion to outside linebackers coach from a defensive analyst position. Coach Prime also announced via Zoom call, that the offensive line coach position has been filled by a coach with power five football experience, and is currently in Boulder. He did not declare who it was. Coach Prime also announced Pat Shurmer will likely be the offensive coordinator in 2024. Shurmur was previously elevated into the role in the middle of the 2023 season.
