Dejan Kulusevski has been chatting all things Tottenham and reflecting on the bonkers game against Chelsea earlier this week.

Swedish winger Kulusevski has been an integral part of Ange Postecoglou’s new-look Spurs.

Deployed higher and wider than ever, ‘Deki’ has been in fine form in the main. And with injuries now starting to bite in the squad, the winger is going to be more important than ever.

Of course, Kulusevski was one of the players sacrificed against Chelsea as Spurs went down to nine men.

And reflecting on the game, the 23-year-old admitted he couldn’t quite believe what he was seeing, especially from goalkeeper Vicario.

Dejan Kulusevski says Vicario was ‘unbelievable’ against Chelsea

Speaking on the game itself and what he was seeing from the bench, Kulusevski had the following to say to Inside Spurs.

“Unbelievable first 15 minutes then for a few minutes we lost our head so then the game was so difficult and we just had fight, fight a lot. We did a lot of good things and obviously get the second red and everything changes,” Kulusevski said.

“Incredible though. I was watching from the bench and I didn’t know how long we could do it but we did amazing, honestly. Vicario was unbelievable but in the end they scored but we made a lot of chances to make 2-2.”

Tottenham paid around £17m to sign Vicario this summer and he’s already looking like a bargain buy.

The club have long sought a replacement for Hugo Lloris and after a few experiments, it looks like they might finally have their man.

As Kulusevski says here, he was simply brilliant against Chelsea and can count himself unfortunate to be on the losing side.

If the Italian stopper can stay fit all season and Tottenham can keep putting in good performances despite their injury issues, then the top four is definitely on.

As for Kulusevski, well, he continues to impress. This is a young Spurs side with so much potential and players like Kulusevski and Vicario will be the backbone of things for years to come.
