Everton boss Sean Dyche has been handed a fitness boost as summer signing Jack Harrison was pictured taking part in training ahead of the visit of Arsenal.

Harrison arrived from Leeds United on a season-long loan on 14 August carrying a hip injury that has kept him out of action.

No timeframe was given for the winger’s return to action, other than it would be after the September international break.

Everton are back in Premier League action on Sunday [17 September] when Arsenal make the trip to Goodison Park.

It is not yet known if Harrison will be considered for squad selection for that match, but the 26-year-old does at least appear to be closing in on a return.

On Thursday, September 14th, Everton published pictures of Harrison working out with his new teammates on their official website.

Harrison posed for a photo alongside full-back Ashley Young, and was also snapped taking part in a training exercise with Ben Godfrey.

If the former Manchester City player is not ready for the match with Arsenal, there are plenty more games coming up to belatedly make his debut.

Before the month is up, Everton will host Brentford and Luton Town in the Premier League, immediately following a trip to Aston Villa for an EFL Cup match.

When it became known that Harrison would need to sit out some time [Sky Sports], Villa pulled out of the running to sign him. As a result, it seemed almost destiny that match will be circled for his Everton debut.
