The Minnesota Vikings acquired quarterback Josh Dobbs and a 2024 seventh-round pick from the Arizona Cardinals for a 2024 sixth-round draft choice on Tuesday.

The Vikings lost quarterback Kirk Cousins when he sustained a season-ending torn right Achilles injury on Sunday.

Minnesota (4-4) plans to start rookie Jaren Hall on the road Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons (4-40, according to NFL Network.

In addition to Dobbs and Hall, the Vikings have Nick Mullens in their quarterback room. Mullens is on injured reserve with a back injury but will be eligible to be activated ahead of Week 10 against the New Orleans Saints.

Dobbs, 28, completed 62.8 percent of his passes for 1,569 yards with eight touchdowns and five interceptions in eight games this season. He has thrown for 2,025 yards with 10 touchdowns and eight picks in 16 games with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tennessee Titans and Cardinals.
