Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk has posted a muted reaction on social media following the news about Tottenham Hotspur’s Micky van de Ven.

He has impressed everyone and is one of Tottenham’s best players
Van Dijk is said to be the benchmark for defenders around the world, and he seems satisfied with what has happened to his compatriot Van de Ven

Virgil van Dijk’s side were in contention for the quarter-final title, but poor results in April saw them eliminated from the Premier League, Europa League and FA Cup
Tottenham, on the other hand, have been aiming for the top four and that seems easily achievable.

 

However, just two wins in their last seven matches have kept them fifth
A lot of players are currently focused on the European Championship in Germany, which is expected to start in mid-June
Van Dijk is the captain of the Dutch national team and he is guaranteed to start
Besides the Liverpool captain, it is likely that Tottenham’s Van de Ven will start in defense after being called up by Ronald Koeman on Wednesday
The Tottenham defender took to Instagram to celebrate the big news following his announcement

The first was a 10-minute spell against France as a centre-back in October, while the second was against Greece a few days later – in which he played at left-back
The Netherlands have Van Dijk, Stefan de Vrij, Matthijs de Ligt, Nathan Ake and Daley Blind in their squad – all of whom can play in the center of defense.

This could force Van de Ven to play at left-back or left-back instead of his natural centre-back position
The £43m Dutchman (Sky Sports) could certainly play there – he did so for Tottenham in his last two Premier League games against Manchester City and Sheffield United.
