Earlier this season, things looked pretty bleak for the New York Giants as they had just a 2-8 record and had injuries to starting quarterback Daniel Jones and backup Tyrod Taylor, leaving undrafted rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito as the team’s starter. But in a shocking turn of events, they’re now back in playoff contention with a 5-8 record.
During an interview session this week, New York Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas opened up about the team’s current playoff situation, making it clear that while the team is indeed acknowledging that they still have a chance to make the postseason, they also understand that they have to focus on winning each individual game – starting with this week’s game against the New Orleans Saints.
At 6-7, the Saints are ahead of the Giants in the NFC Wild Card race. So a win on Sunday would go a long way toward a potential playoff berth.
