Axel Tuanzebe reunites with Kieran McKenna after signing a 1-year contract at Town
Ipswich Town signed former Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe last week. Ross Halls joins Jay Motty from Stretford Paddock to gain insight into the Blues’ latest signing.
The duo discuss Tuanzebe’s time at Old Trafford, his senior debut at the age of 19, his appearances in the Champions League, his loans before his eventual release in the summer .
Tuanzebe reunites with Kieran McKenna at Suffolk, the Blues boss having overseen the defender’s academic career at United and then serving as assistant manager at the time he first broke into the first team.
The 25-year-old becomes Town’s seventh signing following promotion to the Championship and will compete with Luke Woolfenden, Cameron Burgess and George Edmundson at centre-back.
